Construction of the Ram temple has begun
The historic decision on the Ayodhya dispute, the country’s largest legal dispute for decades, also took place during Modi’s reign. The Supreme Court considered Ramjanmabhoomi to be Ramjanmabhoomi’s birthplace in Ayodhya when delivering the historic verdict in November 2019. After which, on August 5, 2020, PM Modi performed Bhoomipujan to build Ram Temple.
Article 370 ends in Kashmir
The removal of Article 370 from Kashmir has been on Prime Minister Modi’s agenda since he became Prime Minister in 2014. Although this was not completed in PM Modi’s first five-year term, but when Narendra Modi became Prime Minister for the second time in May 2019, Article 370 from Kashmir was abolished. Once 370 was over, Kashmir’s special status also ended and the state of Jammu and Kashmir was divided into two union territories. This decision by Modi’s government has been the subject of debate worldwide.
Laws against triple talaq
One of PM Modi’s major decisions involves three divorces. Prime Minister Modi gave the Muslim women great relief by passing the triple talaq law of parliament. Now Muslim women can take legal action if they get three divorces. Some people in the country were against this too, but Modi’s government had the full support of Muslim women.
Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) implemented
The Modi government has always surprised the country with its decisions. Whenever PM Modi’s decisions are mentioned, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be mentioned therein. PM Modi implemented it in its second term in December 2019. This decision was also strongly opposed in the country. The Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 was passed amid much uproar in parliament.
Minorities from our neighboring country (Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan) were granted citizenship rights in India under the Citizenship Amendment Act. Simply put, the Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis and Christians of these countries who had been living as refugees for years, were authorized by the government of Modi to obtain citizenship of India.
Poor higher cabinets receive a 10 percent reservation
The decision to give 10% reservation to poor upper castes is also one of PM Modi’s important decisions. This task was not at all easy for Modi’s government, as reservation has always been a major problem in this country. But even then it was passed in parliament. Now the poor upper castes in every department, from work to education in the country, are getting the 10 percent reservation benefit.
Demonetization is also one of the disputed decisions made by Modi’s government. Modi’s government suddenly announced demonetization in its very first term on November 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. After which the currency of 500 and 1000 rupees was discontinued in the country. Pian Modi mentioned the benefits of demonetization, but said it will stop black money and stop terrorist financing.
Implementing new education policies in the Corona era
The new Education Policy -2020 in the Corona era has received government approval. The Modi government has introduced a new education policy in the country after 34 years. Earlier in 1986, the education policy was implemented. Subsequently, some changes were made to this policy in 1992. The Modi government also received support from the opposition in this decision.
